Liverpool have jolted European football with their transfer moves ahead of the summer window. The Reds are pushing hard to take their squad to the next level ahead of the new season, and now, they have delivered a major blow to Real Madrid’s transfer plans.
The Merseyside giants’ pursuit of Florian Wirtz has sent tremors across European football, and they hope to finalise a deal to sign him by the end of the weekend.
Liverpool are expected to announce Jeremie Frimpong’s arrival when the transfer window opens in June, and are also closing in on a deal to sign Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.
However, Liverpool fans will draw great satisfaction from the fact that their football club have stood up against Real Madrid and delivered a blow to their transfer plans this summer.

Real Madrid delivers bad news to Xabi Alonso about a Reds player he wants

Incoming Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso has been looking to strengthen his squad this summer and has delivered a wishlist to the club hierarchy.
He wants fresh blood in defence, and Trent Alexander-Arnold is not the only Liverpool defender the Spaniard wants ahead of next season.
Alonso has requested Real Madrid to try and sign Ibrahima Konate this summer, but according to Defensa Central, the club have told him that it won’t be possible.
The Spanish giants are not interested in paying the fee Liverpool are demanding, which is believed to be £59m, for the Frenchman this summer.
Real Madrid have encouraged the defender to run down his contract, and believe it is only possible to sign Konate on a free transfer at the end of next season.
The Frenchman is happy at Liverpool, but has delivered little reassurance about signing a new deal with the club.
