Liverpool dealt huge blow to hopes of signing the next “best player in the world”

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has expressed strong confidence that Jamal Musiala could remain at the club “for the next 20 years,” despite reported interest from Premier League giants Liverpool, Manchester United, and Manchester City.

Musiala, regarded as one of the brightest young talents in Europe, has become a pivotal figure at the Allianz Arena and is also shining on the international stage for Germany.

The 20-year-old playmaker has garnered significant attention as he enters the final two years of his current contract with Bayern Munich.

His remarkable performances, both domestically and internationally, have made him a target for several top European clubs, with Liverpool and both Manchester sides closely monitoring his situation.

Musiala’s stock rose even further following his standout display at the Euros, where he shared the Golden Boot award.

The young star’s ability to impact games with his creativity, vision, and scoring prowess has made him one of the most exciting prospects in world football. His influence at Bayern has grown since he made his debut, and he is now seen as one of the club’s most indispensable assets.

Despite the mounting interest, Hainer remains confident that Musiala’s long-term future lies in Bavaria.

Speaking to the media, the Bayern president expressed optimism that the midfielder will continue his development at the club and potentially stay for decades.

Hainer said: “Many say that he will one day be the best player in the world. In that regard, we will do everything we can to secure him with FC Bayern long-term.

“In my opinion, he could easily become the next Thomas Muller and play here for the next 20 years. I’m very optimistic that we’ll see him at Bayern for a long time to come.”

Reports of private discussions between Manchester United and Musiala’s representatives have surfaced, but Bayern Munich are determined to fend off any attempts to lure their star player away.

Liverpool, under manager Arne Slot, are also reportedly keen to secure Musiala’s services as part of their long-term strategy to reinforce the squad.

As Musiala’s contract talks loom, Bayern Munich will be keen to lock down one of their most valuable players, while Europe’s elite clubs continue to circle with interest.
