Liverpool face Manchester United on Monday but they could be lining up against a five-time Champions League winner who beat them in May.
The Reds fell short on the biggest stage back in May as a Vinicius Junior goal was enough to secure Los Blancos’ 14th European Cup.
On the night, defensive midfielder Casemiro was a real thorn in Liverpool’s side and, incredibly, he may be set to feature on Monday night for Manchester United.
Liverpool will be on a revenge mission against the 30-year-old in a game that just got a little bit bigger.

Can Liverpool finally edge out Casemiro?
In recent years, Liverpool have fell victim to Real Madrid’s brilliance, but despite the Spanish club eventually triumphing over the Reds, there have been some incredibly close games.
The difference in those can be put down to individual brilliance (such as Gareth Bale or Thibaut Courtois) or Casemiro’s brilliant defensive displays.
Considering the Brazilian has informed manager Carlo Ancelotti of his desire for a new challenge – we could see him feature on Monday if all goes smoothly over the weekend.

His last performance in the Champions League final was one of his best as he dominated the midfield; he totalled four tackles, three interceptions and clearances, won 100% of his aerial duels, one key pass and won 8/11 ground duels – it was a brilliant display.
Having partnered Fabinho in midfield at international level, the Liverpool midfielder will be hoping to get one over his teammate as two of the best CDMs around could potentially face off.
This could bring some added heat in a must-win game for Liverpool.
