Liverpool complete stunning second signing in transfer bombshell

Liverpool have already made some stunning moves in the ongoing transfer window and are set to do more work in the coming days. The Reds now have a deal in place to welcome a second summer signing after Jeremie Frimpong’s arrival last week.

The Merseyside giants have already signed Frimpong and have continued to remain in negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen for Florian Wirtz this summer.

The Wirtz deal could take more time due to the German club’s demands for a £126.5m asking price, but the club have made progress on another deal.

It has been claimed that Liverpool are now on the verge of sealing the arrival of a second summer signing for a key area of their squad in the ongoing transfer window.

Liverpool set to seal second summer arrival of this transfer window

Milos Kerkez has been the top target at Liverpool for months despite suggestions that the club were looking at alternative left-back targets.

The defender has agreed personal terms on a contract with the Reds and will sign a five-year deal once the transfer goes through.

Liverpool have been in talks with Bournemouth and were expected to table a formal bid for him this week as part of the transfer plans.

However, according to journalist Uriel Lugt, the Reds have achieved a breakthrough in negotiations with Bournemouth, and Kerkez is closing in on a move to Anfield.

It has been claimed that a full agreement is in place between the two clubs, who will now iron out the details of the deals in the coming days.

Kerkez could soon receive the green light to travel to Merseyside to undergo a medical and complete the formalities of the transfer.

Liverpool seem to have moved quickly to avert any hijack attempts by Manchester City, who also wanted the defender.
