Arne Slot offers key updates ahead of Chelsea clash
Liverpool battle out fourth-placed Chelsea at home tomorrow as the Premier League returns to Anfield. An important clash for The Reds as Slot and Co. will look forward to becoming untouchable in the title race.
The Merseysiders stand top of the table with 18 points to their name. However, an intense competition follows as both Manchester City and Arsenal are just below the top with 17 points.
Chelsea on the other hand will have a chance to inch closer to the top spot as The Blues hope to win their first title under new gaffer Enzo Maresca.
Maresca however might be looking forward to missing four players at Anfield with the likes of Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana in the mix.
Liverpool have had a great start to the season as they have lost only one game in the league so far. The Reds will hope to maintain this record as they’ll want to take advantage of out-of-form Manchester City.
The Sky Blues have dominated the Premier League since Pep Guardiola’s arrival and Liverpool hope to turn that around with their new manager.
However, all is not well though as Slot faces some challenges of his own with a few players doubtful for the return of the Premier League.
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson faces big blow with a few Reds uncertain for Chelsea clash

Alisson is for sure not with us in the upcoming weeks, that’s clear. So, that’s a blow for him and for us because I think he did really well this season and did so well for this club for so many years.

Alisson won’t be back for a few weeks due to an injury suffered during the clash against Crystal Palace. The Selhurst Park blow also forced him to miss the international break.
Now the good thing is, and I said this many times, that Caoimhin [Kelleher] did well for us in previous years and this season also, so we have a good replacement. But you always want all of your players available.

Vítězslav Jaroš made his Liverpool debut following the Brazilian’s injury as Caoimhin Kelleher wasn’t available. The Republic of Ireland international didn’t attend the Palace clash due to illness.
However, Kelleher is now available following a tough international break. The Republic of Ireland faced a 2-0 defeat against Greece with the goalkeeper making a significant mistake that led to a goal.
Caoimhin’s performance was strong overall but it is to be seen whether he stays consistent in England. The 25-year-old will be taking on a big responsibility with The Reds on the top of the table.
Macca [Alexis Mac Allister] missed one game [for Argentina], he played the second one. Kostas [Tsimikas] missed out in the first game against England so I can name them all but we’ve got a few issues going on and let’s wait and see where we are after today. [Wataru] Endo as well was also sick.
