Liverpool are pushing to bring in a new striker next summer as Arne Slot is not happy with what he has seen of Darwin Nunez. The Reds want a new number 9 for next season, and they have added one more name to their shortlist of targets ahead of the next window.
Nunez has struggled to convince Slot that he will ever develop into a prolific goalscorer at Anfield, and he is likely to be sold in the next summer transfer window.
Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak is their top target, and while Liverpool are still trying to assess doing a deal, they are also aware that getting him out of St. James’ Park would be a tall order in the summer.
The Reds are looking at players such as Benjamin Sesko and Liam Delap, and it has been claimed that one more Bundesliga hitman is on their radar ahead of the next window.
Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?
The Reds are keeping close tabs on 22-year-old French striker

Hugo Ekitike has been turning heads at Eintracht Frankfurt and has scored 19 times in 40 appearances for the German club in the summer transfer window.
His technique and powerful presence inside the box have earned him admirers, and it has been claimed Liverpool are among the clubs who are interested in signing him.
According to the Daily Mail’s Lewis Steele, Liverpool are definitely eyeing a move for him, and Ekitike fits the profile of striker the Reds want this summer.
“Hugo Ekitike is the name that pops up the most when I speak to people, so I think it is fair to say he is one to keep a close eye on”, Steele said during a Q&A.
“The France Under 21 star has scored 19 goals and made eight assists for Eintracht Frankfurt this season and ticks a lot of boxes in terms of his age profile and experience – he is playing every week in a top league and has European experience, too.”
Eintracht are likely to demand somewhere around the £59m figure that Manchester City paid for Omar Marmoush in the winter window if they agree to sell Ekitike.
