Ibrahima Konate has been stalling on a new deal for months, and interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid has further complicated the situation.

Liverpool are considering selling him if he doesn’t agree to sign a new contract, but according to L’Equipe via Anfield Index, Slot might save the day for the club this summer.

The Liverpool manager has developed a strong relationship with Konate since taking charge last year, and the Frenchman has been a massive player for the Dutchman.

The defender still has the manager and the club’s trust despite the negotiations over a new deal not going according to plan.

More talks have taken place between Richard Hughes and his representatives since March, and Liverpool believe that he does not want to leave the club.
