Liverpool could still end the season with a Premier League trophy.
After a rollercoaster of a campaign, Liverpool fans will be pleased to end this season with some silverware. Ahead of this season, no one really gave the reds a chance of being competitive. Jurgen Klopp had left the team, and his replacement was questioned and criticized even before his first game.
Slot has proved his doubters wrong. This season, his coaching and squad management has stood out a lot. He has managed to make the team look much better than it did last year. If it was not for a few unfortunate results, Liverpool could be challenging for the treble. Ultimately, the lack of quality depth was what cost the team this year. Slot was unable to make impactful changes and rotate to keep the team fresh.
Liverpool are set to address this in the summer window.

Liverpool are aware of Diogo Jota’s future

The attack will be the focus ahead of this summer. Despite Liverpool being statistically one of the best attacking units in Europe, it does not really show on the pitch. The bulk of the work has been done by Mohamed Salah this season. The forward has contributed over 40 goals in the Premier League alone this campaign. Luis Diaz is the second highest scorer in the league for Liverpool with nine goals.
Arne Slot is reportedly not a fan of the current set of options, and the reds could look to add new faces this summer. A new striker will be a priority, as it looks very likely Darwin Nunez will leave the club when the window opens.
One Liverpool star who is set to remain at Anfield is Diogo Jota. James Pearce has recently reported that the Portuguese forward will stay at the club for at least next season. Liverpool are looking for ways to move on from Darwin Nunez, and see Jota as one of the striking options for next season. The reds will now be looking for a more natural center forward to be the starter, as well as provide competition for Jota for the role up top.
Diogo Jota has only made 11 league starts, but has been very productive with six goals and three assists.
