Joško Gvardiol has claimed that he grew up watching Liverpool and would like to move to the Premier League and play for the Reds one day.
Still just 19, the young defender has declared that he wants to move to join the Reds and is the latest RB Leipzig player to dream of moving to Anfield with Konate recently being announced as a Liverpool player.
What’s the story?
In an interview, Kvardiol revealed that he would like to one day move to Liverpool after he grew up watching them.
“From a young age, I watched Liverpool games with my dad and I grew up with just them,” Gvardiol told 24hr Sata.

“When I took football more seriously, I started following them, and I definitely want the Premier League and Liverpool move one day.”
Who is Joško Gvardiol?
He’s a 19-year-old Croatian able to play either as a left-back or as a centre-back which is hugely valuable.
Gvardiol spent the season on loan with Dinamo Zagreb and played most of his games in the centre of defence but did play 8 games as a fullback but despite standing at 1.85m, he’s better suited to playing as a left-back.
He’s very quick and while he relies on his stronger left foot, he isn’t predictable and this makes him very good at breezing past his opposite number.

He doesn’t have any glaring weakness but like most young defenders, he needs to learn when to make tackles as he has a tendency to make fouls in dangerous areas.
Is Gvardiol moving to Liverpool?
Never say never but he’s not currently linked with a move to Anfield but given the Reds strong relationship with RB Leipzig, it’s not out of the question moving forward but for the time being, he’s not needed.
Konate’s move has centre-back sorted as far as strength in depth is concerned and at left-back, Andy Robertson has that role tied down for the considerable future.
Behind him in the pecking order is Kostas Tsimikas and the Greek star is yet to make a real impact at the club so hopefully, we will be seeing more of him next season.
