£60m-rated forward is ‘keen’ on Anfield move “if a deal can be agreed in the summer window”

Jarrod Bowen is open to a move to Anfield in the summer if a deal can be agreed with West Ham, according to Football Insider.

Liverpool scouts were reportedly at the London Stadium as the Hammers forward scored a brace to give his side a 2-0 win over Norwich City in midweek and “it is said they are “hot” on the versatile forward and he is firmly on their radar.”

Bowen

The forward, unsurprisingly, is “keen” on a move to Anfield, as per Football Insider, “if a deal can be agreed in the summer window.”

While he’s not the superstar signing that some Liverpool fans crave, his stats this season will surprise many supporters I’d say. In 30 games, the Englishman has 8 goals and 10 assists.

He’s already bettered his 8 goals and 6 assists from last season and we’re only 2 weeks into 2022.

Bowen is 25 so there is also clearly room for more progression for the West Ham star and he does seem like a classic FSG signing if he can be signed for the right price.

Bowen

Bowen is a good player but he should be nothing more than a squad addition for Liverpool and with Mohamed Salah’s contract yet to be renewed, my greatest fear is that the Egypt international leaves, joins PSG and the Reds downgrade to Bowen.

That would be the worst case scenario. As much as the West Ham star is a good player, he isn’t capable of carrying Liverpool or replicating what Salah has been doing for the Reds for five years now.

FSG need to extend Salah’s contract and ensure Liverpool fans’ worst fear isn’t realised.
