“Oh my god, what a player”: Gary Neville says Liverpool have “found another one” with €60m sensation

Gary Neville

Gary Neville says it’s “utterly depressing” to see how many good Liverpool players are available to Jurgen Klopp.

This was as a reaction to Luis Diaz and the Colombian starring on the left wing for Liverpool where he scored and got an assist against Manchester United.

The Anfield outfit won 4-0 and Diaz’s threat from the left was a constant issue for United to contend with while Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah’s presence meant that it wasn’t possible to just focus on Diaz.

The goal the former Porto star scored wasn’t exactly a world-class finish but it was a stunning move from Liverpool that saw Mane release Salah, who assisted the new signing.

Diaz would get an assist of his own, cutting the ball back for Mane to sweep the ball home to make it 3-0.

Speaking live on Sky Sports, as quoted by The Anfield Talk’s Twitter account: “It’s utterly depressing (as a Manchester United fan).

“Oh my god, what a player he is. His tenacity, his pace, his skill, his spirit and he’s cost not a lot again.

“They’ve found another one. They’ve got five genuinely world-class forwards.”

Klopp has been using his attacking depth to absolute perfection this month as he has rotated Jota, Firmino, Mane, Salah and Diaz.

The result? Liverpool are into the Champions League semifinals, the FA Cup final and are fighting like you’ve never seen before to win the Premier League title.

It’s brilliant to watch and makes it even harder for teams to stop as they are unable to prepare properly as they’re not certain who will start.
