Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes is pushing to secure deals early in the summer to ensure Arne Slot has his new squad ready for pre-season despite not wanting to spend silly money. He has been working on several new signings, and one top young winger could now be on his way to Anfield soon.
Slot wants a major revamp of the squad in the summer transfer window, and the club are expected to bring in as many as five new signings in the coming months.
The Liverpool manager wants to end the team’s overdependence on Mo Salah for goals and assists, and is pushing to add more flair and young legs to the forward line ahead of next season.
The Merseyside giants have been tracking several young forwards ahead of the summer, but one player is now part of serious discussions at Anfield ahead of the end of the season.
Can you name the team Liverpool signed these players from?
The Reds have their eyes on a rapid Ligue 1 winger

England saw some of Malick Fofana’s talents when he ran the Manchester United team ragged at Old Trafford in the Europa League a few weeks back.
With Lyon under financial pressure to sell players this summer, the 20-year-old winger is expected to leave the Ligue 1 giants in the upcoming transfer window.
And according to CaughtOffSide, Liverpool are getting more serious about signing the winger in the coming weeks and months.
Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have been keeping tabs on the 20-year-old Lyon star ahead of the summer.
However, Liverpool are stepping up efforts to sign a top young winger, and Fofana has emerged as one of the essential targets for the next window.
They are prepared to offer him a guarantee of minutes to convince the young winger to move to Anfield this summer.
Lyon are expected to sell if a club offer them somewhere around £42m in the coming months.
