Liverpool are still locked in contract talks months till the end of the season.
The reds have been trying to tie down their best players to long-term deals since the season began. Salah, Trent and Van Dijk have been linked with moves away from Anfield all season, but none have disclosed their future. All three have played a big part in Arne Slot’s first season at the club. They still very much remain the spine of this Liverpool team.
With months let to the summer window, the reds could be set for major changes within the squad.

Egypt boss to support Mohamed Salah Liverpool decision
The reds will be in a race against time to tie down Salah to a new deal before the season ends. Salah has hinted that he would be willing to stay on improved terms. As it stands, his future could go either way. Egypt National team coach Hossam Hassan says regardless of Salah’s decision, he will stand by the Liverpool star:
“I will be the first to support and stand by Salah in any decision he makes [on his future],” Hassan said. “I know it’s not an easy situation, but he is a great player who will handle it well. I wish him success wherever he goes – he is Egypt’s finest ambassador.”
The Pharoah’s boss then urged Salah to keep himself in good form ahead of the African Cup of Nations later this year.
“It’s time for Salah to lift the Africa Cup of Nations – he deserves it. The competition is tough, but Egypt is capable of winning the title.
“Mo is a great player who fully deserves his status. Having him with us is fantastic. Everyone in the national team, led by Salah, is giving their all to fulfill the dreams of the Egyptian people, who count on their stars to win the title and qualify for the World Cup.
“Of course, he (Omar Marmoush) and Mo Salah will face significant challenges in the Africa Cup of Nations due to the pressure, but they have become more experienced and skilled in handling these pressures.”
Mohamed Salah had a goal and assist in two World Cup qualifiers during the international break. Liverpool return to league action against Everton on Wednesday night.
