Real Madrid have been a constant thorn in the flesh of Liverpool over the last few years. The Reds are set to lose Trent Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer to the European giants this summer. However, they now have a massive opportunity to beat Real Madrid to a player they covet in the upcoming transfer window.
The Alexander-Arnold transfer saga has left a bitter taste in Liverpool’s mouth, who were keen to hold on to the defender on a new long-term contract this summer.

Dean Huijsen is almost certain to move on from Bournemouth in the summer transfer with clubs in the Premier League and Europe interested in him.
Liverpool are among the clubs that want him, but they are set to face competition from Real Madrid for his signature in the next transfer window.
However, according to Spanish sports daily AS, Real Madrid would prefer to sign the defender next year rather than in the upcoming summer window.
Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba will run out of contract next year, and that is when the Spanish giants would prefer to sign the Dutchman.
This leaves the door open for Liverpool to push for the signature of the Bournemouth defender in the next summer transfer window.
