Divock Origi has “agreed personal terms” with AC Milan over a summer switch to Serie A, according to James Pearce.
The Belgian forward has reached an agreement over his personal terms although a contract has yet to be signed and a medical still needs to take place.
The necessary formalities have taken place to seal his move to the pending Italian champions.
His departure will be a sad one and he’s certain to receive an incredible goodbye from Liverpool fans on Sunday as the Premier League season concludes.
Fans will forever remember the heroic performance Origi delivered in the 2019 Champions League semi-final against Barcelona where he scored a brace to knock the Catalonians out.
He helped overturn a 3-0 first-leg deficit with the quickly taken corner from Trent Alexander-Arnold one of the most iconic moments in the competition’s history.
If Liverpool manage to win the Premier League on Sunday, Origi’s 94th-minute winner against Wolves will go down as a title-winning moment.
With Wolves themselves set to visit Anfield, it would be a full-circle moment if he features and scores to help lift the title but Manchester City will need to drop points in their game against Aston Villa.
Origi should explode into life in Italy and everyone at Anfield Central wishes him nothing but success.
