Jurgen Klopp’s injury headache may worsen if Diogo Jota is forced to miss the Watford clash on Saturday as news has emerged about the Portuguese forward.
Thanks to goals from Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, Liverpool were 2-1 up against the Premier League champions but an unfortunate deflection off Joel Matip saw Kevin De Bruyne’s effort find the back of the net.
The game ended 2-2 which was a fair reflection of the game but Liverpool fans are in agreement that Salah’s incredible solo goal deserved to win the game.

Ben Dinnery, a reporter for Sky Sports, talkSPORT and the Athletic, cites Portuguese outlet SAPO as claiming that Diogo Jota has been unable to train since the Manchester City clash.
Since linking up with the Portugal national team, he has been unable to train and is struggling with “muscle problems” and is a doubt for both the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg and the Premier League trip to London to face Watford.
Jurgen Klopp is set to be without Alisson Becker, Fabinho, Trent Alexander Arnold and Harvey Elliott while Curtis Jones, Thiago and now Jota are all doubts for the game as well.
Firmino could have a chance to shine for the Reds
The Liverpool boss will be hoping that the latter three are all declared fit to play as his midfield options are laid bare as it stands but being forced to play without Jota as well would be concerning but it would give Roberto Firmino a chance to impress.
While the 2020/21 season was a poor one by Firmino’s standards, he has three goals so far this term which isn’t too shabby considering he’s only started 1 game for the Reds and made the rest of his appearances from the bench.
A brace against Porto and a goal on the opening day of the season against Norwich mean that if Klopp is forced to bring Bobby into the mix, he should be able to contribute.
