Liverpool are preparing to radically revamp their squad next summer despite the team being on the cusp of winning the Premier League. The Reds have a big ambition to overhaul their squad through some big money signings, but the club are also alive to the prospect of picking up good players on free transfers.
Arne Slot wants to reconfigure the Liverpool attack next season, which would involve signing a new number 9 to replace the misfiring Darwin Nunez in the summer.
Liverpool are also in the market for wide forwards, with the club prepared to listen to offers for players such as Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Harvey Elliott in the next window.
The Reds are looking at younger players who are going to cost big money in the summer, but the club are also considering snapping up experienced heads on free transfers as well.
Can you name the team Liverpool signed these players from?
A deal is close for a former Manchester City star

Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane will be out of contract at the end of the season and has been heavily linked with a move back to England, where he tasted success at Manchester City.
Liverpool are among the clubs who are believed to be considering getting their hands on the winger on a free transfer in the next summer transfer window.
A return to England was also expected to appeal to Sane, but according to German journalist Christian Falk, he is now expected to sign a new contract with Bayern Munich.
He insisted that Sane would have to accept signing a new deal on reduced terms, but admitted that, given he enjoys playing with Jamal Musiala, the winger is set to stay at Bayern Munich.
“Negotiations are ongoing. Bayern, of course, don’t want to pay Leroy Sane as much as he was earning before”, he wrote on his CF Bayern Insider column.
“He’s currently earning €15m plus €5m in bonuses. If he signs a new contract with Bayern Munich, he will earn a lot less! The club and Sane’s agent are negotiating a three-year contract until 2028. One-third will be paid variable with a lower base salary. The talk is of €9m plus €6m in bonuses or €10m plus €5m in bonuses.
“That’s really interesting because at this point, he’s not so focused on money. Sane likes to play with Jamal Musiala, who is one of his biggest friends at Bayern. So, it’s indeed possible that he could sign a contract with the club for less money.
“There were rumours around Arsenal and Liverpool, they had their eyes on him, but it didn’t get so concrete. So, at the moment, I think his future is at Bayern Munich.”
Sane probably wouldn’t have been a regular starter for Liverpool, but he could have been a good player to have in the squad.
