Liverpool fans showed their class at Anfield by singing You’ll Never Walk Alone during the 7th minute against Manchester United in honour of Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner, Georgina Rodríguez, after the tragic passing of their baby boy.
On Monday evening, the 37-year-old shared the heartbreaking news that one of the twins he and Georgina had been expecting had passed away. It was incredible to see the footballing world surround him and his family with love and support.
While Liverpool and United have a long, nasty history in their battle to be the greatest club in England, home fans at Anfield on Tuesday put that all to one side to show Ronaldo support.

For a full minute during the seventh of the game as a nod to the iconic number the Portuguese has worn for most of his career, Liverpool fans sang You’ll Never Walk Alone with passion and empathy.
It was a fantastic tribute and one that seems to have been well-received by him and his family as his sister, Elma, who lives in Madeira, said: “Thank you for this Liverpool. We Will never forget what you did today.”
It’s what football should be all about.
While Liverpool fans will always remember the game for the scoreline and what may have been a major step towards winning the Premier League this season, Ronaldo and his family will cherish it as a sign of all the good the footballing community is capable of.
