Despite having a record-breaking summer, Liverpool don’t seem satisfied with their summer acquisitions. The club is looking forward to their January targets as the Reds predict required reinforcements mid-season.

Adam Wharton has been hailed as one of the prospects for the upcoming year. The English midfielder had a breakthrough season at Selhurst Park this season and has attracted interest from various top outfits.

Liverpool have been rather passive in their pursuit as they focus on a few other positions on the field. Prominently, Real Madrid have joined the race to sign the Eagles midfielder.

Los Blancos are in the market for a No.8, and Wharton seems to fit the bill for the Spanish outfit. The Whites also have other targets in mind, but the pressure remains on Liverpool to decide on the midfielder.

Interestingly, Manchester United has joined the race and made him a top target for January. This puts the Reds under further pressure among other contenders.

Crystal Palace might be keen to sell for a big fee, but midway through the season seems unlikely for the Eagles. There is more trouble for Liverpool, though, as another one of their targets might become out of reach for the Reds in the winter.

TBR Football reports that Bayern Munich have decided to tie down Michael Olise with a new contract by the end of the season. The decision was taken to ward off big clubs like Liverpool, FC Barcelona and others.

The reports claim that the Bavarians are offering the English-born French footballer a huge raise. His current wages lie around £200,000 a week, although the figure is disputed.

There was huge interest in signing the former Crystal Palace attacker as the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona, and Arsenal were hounding Selhurst Park to sign the talent.

Although there are also claims that these clubs won’t be making decisive moves on the Frenchman next summer. Bayern Munich also seem reluctant to sell the player in January.

Olise’s contract expires at the end of the 2028/29 season, making him a very expensive move. Arne Slot might be aiming for a closer offer as Mohamed Salah’s contract expires in the summer of 2027.

In 2027, Michael will have two years left on his contract, making him a cheaper option in the future. Mohamed Salah can continue living up to the expectations till then, but Liverpool will also have to play their cards right.
