Major disappointment as former Liverpool star’s failed move.
The upcoming summer is going to be a major one for the reds. Depending on how this season ends, it is going to be a great or a horrible experience for the fans. It will all come down to the status of Liverpool’s big three. Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk are all on their way out of the club as it stands.
That might explain Salah’s form this season and why he is determined to win the Premier League. The 32-year old has set his sights on winning another league title:
“It feels good to be fair! Scoring goals, team winning, it’s an incredible feeling. But I said it many times before that my main target this season is to win the Premier League with the team. We are going in the right direction so hopefully we can keep going like this.”

Last summer was sort of a soft reboot for the club. Jurgen Klopp left Anfield after a successful tenure. The German coach won every trophy possible with the reds, topping it off with an EFL triumph in 2023/24. Former Liverpool assistant coach Pep Lijnders also left the club in 2024. Jurgen Klopp’s right hand man went off to start his managerial career.
Liverpool let go of some of the club young stars in the summer. Bobby Clark, Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg left the club on permanent deals. Clark left to Red Bull Salzburg for a £10 million fee.
Since August, things have not gone well for Clark, the youngster lost his place in the Salzburg team. He has made two starts in the last 10 games. Clark is reportedly a frustrated figure at the Austrian club, with his recent X post sparking rumours of a January exit.

Kicker reports that the former Liverpool star was on his way out on loan, with a return to England agreed. But Salzburg pulled the plug at the last minute. Rangers, Derby and Swansea raced for his signature. The Swans were favourites before the deadline, but Salzburg pulled out at the last minute.
Bobby Clark needs to sort out his future
Out of favour in just over six months after joining your new club, is not an ideal situation. Clark is fiercely talented and was a huge favourite of Jurgen Klopp. Liverpool fans will hope the 19-year old can revive his young career soon.
