While last season was rife with rumours linking him with a move to Barcelona, he looks set to be one of the most important players for Arne Slot as the Dutchman looks to continue the incredible work Jurgen Klopp completed in his nine years with the Reds.

Even after two very entertaining attacking displays and two clean sheets to start the new campaign, many fans are reserving judgment until on how this season may pan out.
Losing Klopp is obviously a huge blow but so far the signs are very encouraging.
It’s important to mention that the German did leave Slot with a very enviable squad. Compared to the dross Brendan Rodgers left behind for Klopp to deal with, the difference is night and day.
While it would take no small measure of luck, there is a chance this side can win silverware this season and even stake a claim for the Premier League title.
