Liverpool manager Arne Slot has been told to fix an existing issue with player who shined during the international break. Constant chopping and changing needs to be stopped as well.
Liverpool headed into the break with an away loss to Chelsea. Earlier Crystal Palace got the better of them. Their torrid run eventually causing them to slide to second place on the table.
The Reds have lost two of their seven league fixtures this year. To put things into perspective, Slot’s side lost just four times during the entire 2024/25 Premier League campaign.
Despite their troubles, a former Premier League manager feels the solution is right up Anfield’s alley.

Former Newcastle boss Alan Pardew thinks Arne Slot needs to get his backline in order. Constant chopping and changing of players is not allowing the players to settle in.
Speaking to talkSPORT the former midfielder felt Liverpool, “haven’t really played one great game. He (Slot) has made a lot of changes. They have got great talent in and around the team.”
Backing Andy Robertson, Pardew feels the Dutchman has not got the balance right. “It is going to be a question mark getting the balance right”, he added. Specifying the problem at hand he felt, “changing the two full-backs” will do the trick.
“Andy Robertson has been absolutely brilliant this week for Scotland – has been an issue. I think they’ve not looked as good at the back.”
Liverpool’s next fixture will be against bitter rivals Manchester United. While on paper, Liverpool are a much stronger side, it will be foolish to write United off. Ruben Amorim’s side beat Chelsea a couple of weeks back and they will be raring to prove themselves against the champions.
