Arne Slot gives injury updates ahead of Arsenal clash

Liverpool travel to London for their next Premier League clash against fourth-placed Arsenal. Arne Slot and Co. are on an eight-game unbeaten streak in all competitions following their defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal on the other hand will host their second home game in a row after their UEFA Champions League win against Shakhtar Donetsk. However, The Gunners faced defeat against Bournemouth with William Saliba suspended in their last Premier League game.

The Reds will play at the Emirates with three missing players confirmed Slot. Mikel Arteta has more worries though with his preferred defensive line unavailable for the clash.

Arne Slot confirms player availability for Arsenal clash

The Dutch manager confirmed that he’ll travel with the same squad used against RB Leipzig. Conor Bradley, Federico Chiesa, Diogo Jota, Alisson Becker and Harvey Elliot will remain sidelined against Arsenal.

“I think they feel good but not when it comes to playing for us during the weekend. Federico might train with us today or tomorrow – but Diogo definitely not. And Conor Bradley, let’s see if he can be with us tomorrow.”

“That’s part of our lives [and] that’s also what the players are used to. If they play Champions League or, like last season, Europa League, you know these challenges are there.”

“You also know they are experienced in this, how to take care of their body, what to do immediately after the game and in the days after to prepare themselves in the best possible way.”

Virgil van Dijk is looking forward to captain the club for the 100th time and Ryan Gravenberch will hit half a century with his Liverpool appearances.

Alisson will be sidelined for a while as the second-choice keeper Caoimhin Kelleher will start in goal. The latter seemed pretty confident for the Arsenal clash after The Reds’ win against Leipzig.

Kelleher made some confident statements regarding The Reds’ next clash while talking to the media after Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League win over RB Leipzig.

The Irishman was sure of his and his team’s abilities and accepted the difficulty of the game. It is important to note that Arteta is without both William Saliba and Riccardo Calafiori in defence.

Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber are both doubtful as the Spanish manager hopes to plug the gaps with available reinforcements.
