This summer is set to be a big one for Liverpool.
First, it would mark a full season with Arne Slot in charge. The Dutch coach took charge of Liverpool last summer, and so far has had a decent run with the team. Aside some unfortunate results, Slot has done an incredible job at Liverpool. He had the team challenging for a treble before results failed to go their way last month. Despite all of that, the reds are still set to win the Premier League title.
Liverpool could also start a new era this summer. Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil Van Dijk are out of contract at the end of the season. All three played a tremendous part in the Jurgen Klopp era. After winning trophies and being a core part of history, the trio could leave before next season. If that does happen, Liverpool will need to revamp the squad as they prepare for life without Salah, Trent and Van Dijk.

Robertson addresses Liverpool future

Liverpool fans still do not know how this summer will go. According to reports, Trent is on his way to Madrid and is set to sign a long-term deal with the Champions League holders. Mohamed Salah is reportedly close to signing a new deal at Anfield, with some few details left to agree upon. The latest new surrounding Van Dijk is that the Liverpool captain could be off to Paris Saint-Germain.
One player who will definitely be at Anfield this summer is Andrew Robertson. The left back was also a big part of the Jurgen Klopp era. But unlike the others, his contract runs out next year. Robertson has recently addressed the future with all the transfer rumours surrounding the players at the club:
“Trent’s head is not great because he’s injured. He hates being injured, none of us like being injured but it hurts Trent a little bit more,”
“That’s all he is focused on. It is impossible for me to say we have not seen all the noise and everyone commenting on it but, for us, our focus is for him to get back fit and healthy. Once he does that, what will happen, will happen. No-one knows that yet. People can talk and speculate but for us we want Trent back very soon.”
Trent Alexander-Arnold could return soon, and could lift the Premier League trophy before deciding on his future this summer.
