The Mohamed Salah contract saga seems to have reached its nadir as Liverpool and the player continue to haggle and the Reds fans grow wary of losing a modern-day great on a free transfer next summer.
Salah dropped a bombshell last night when he revealed that Liverpool are yet to offer him a new contract despite him being in the last seven months of his contract.
The forward is unhappy that the club are dragging their feet in the negotiations with his representatives and admitted that he feels disappointed at the way the talks have progressed.
The 32-year-old wants to stay and Liverpool are keen to hold on to him but it seems the two sides have hit a brick wall in negotiations, which led to Salah’s public outburst about not getting an offer on his table yet.
However, the details are more complicated than the player just revealing that he doesn’t have an offer on his table to sign as the negotiations have continued between the two camps.
The two sides have several hurdles to overcome in the Mo Salah contract saga

Salah’s outburst could be seen as a tactic by the player to pile on the pressure on the club offer him the terms he wants and get the fans on his side in this PR battle.
However, behind the scenes, the talks have continued and Liverpool are yet to offer him a contract because they are nowhere close to reaching an agreement with his representatives.
According to TBR Football, the two sides are still disagreeing over the length of his contract.
Salah wants a three-year deal ideally or a two-year one with an option that could be triggered via playing time or performance.
However, he is one of the highest earners in the Premier League on a contract worth £350,000-a-week and Liverpool do not want to commit to a longer contract on such wages.
The Merseyside giants are worried that they could get trapped on an expensive contract with a player who could suddenly go on decline given his age.
But the length of the contract is not the only issue as the two sides have disagreements over several areas of the potential new deal.
The two sides have continued to remain in communication but Salah is also attracting interest from elsewhere for a potential free transfer next summer.
