Lawrence Shankland has completed his move to Rangers from Hearts, joining the Ibrox club on a free transfer until 2028 with an option for a further year.
The Scotland striker exercised a clause in his Tynecastle contract that allowed him to depart early, and will wear the number seven shirt at Ibrox.
Shankland will compete for a starting place alongside Youssef Chermiti, Bojan Miovski and Ryan Naderi under manager Danny Rohl.
Ally McCoist welcomed the signing but said the move was “overdue,” while Pat Nevin suggested the 30-year-old views the transfer as the “final big payday” of his career.
Rangers are also monitoring Premiership duo Luke Graham and Eliot Watt, and could revisit a move for midfielder Dan Neil, while Josh Windass has been linked with a return to Ibrox.
