Djurgarden forward Oskar Fallenius has confirmed he is open to a transfer to Rangers as speculation over his future continues to mount this summer.
The 24-year-old winger has been linked with a move to Ibrox, with only six months remaining on his contract at the Swedish club.
Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are also said to be monitoring Fallenius, making him one of the more sought-after attacking prospects available this window.
Rangers manager Danny Rohl is understood to be seeking wide options after the loan spells of Mikey Moore and Andreas Skov Olsen came to an end.
The Glasgow club has already secured the signing of Lawrence Shankland, with former Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil also linked with a move to Ibrox.
Fallenius, a former Brondby wide man, admits he expects his time at Djurgarden to conclude in December given the club currently lacks a sports director to handle negotiations.
The club’s chief, Bosse Andersson, recently departed, leaving the Swedish side without a key figure to manage transfer discussions during a crucial period.
Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, Fallenius said: “I know I have an expiring contract, but we don’t have a sports director. So it’s hard to try to think about it.”
He added: “But we’ve played nine games, the summer is quite long and it feels like quite a lot can happen in that time.”
When asked who he expected to negotiate his future with at Djurgarden, the attacker responded: “Good question. It doesn’t feel like it’s something I should tackle, it should come from above.”
He continued: “But I think it will when the time comes. I don’t stress.”
Pressed directly on reported interest from both Rangers and Wolfsburg, Fallenius revealed the specific instructions he has given to his representatives regarding transfer approaches.
He stated: “My agents and I have decided that I should only be told if there is anything concrete.”
The attacker remained measured about what lies ahead, adding: “I just need to think about chewing on it going forward, and whether it is here in Djurgarden or if it is abroad after the summer, I don’t know that yet.”
