Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has dropped a bombshell update which will put Liverpool on high alert. Other rivals too will sit up and notice.
The Reds were on the brink of signing Marc Guehi during the summer. Agreeing a £35m fee, the deal collapsed after the Palace didn’t have enough time to sign a replacement.
The Eagles chairman Steve Parish pulled the plug on the deal at the last moment. He recently admitted that the club would have ‘probably’ taken the deal if they weren’t involved in the Conference League this season.
Speculations and rumours have filled the pages but a fresh, concrete update will make Liverpool fans excited.

Liverpool may wanna listen to Oliver Glasner

Oliver Glasner just dropped a bombshell ahead of his team’s clash against Bournemouth. “I think Marc has already told us that he doesn’t sign a new contract, so he will leave next year. The club wanted (him to stay), he said while speaking to the media in the pre-match presser.
“They offered Marc a new contract but he said, ‘No, I want to make something different’, and that’s normal.”, he stated.
When he asked about how the club will deal with the fallout. He offered, “For us, it’s how we can deal with this situation. (What) is the best way to get this next step done? That’s all about how we are talking together.”
So its confirmed that Guehi will move away from Selhurst Park at the end of the season.
All’s not easy though for Anfield
Despite being the frontrunners to sign the Frenchman, Liverpool need to be wary of rivals. He’ll be open to sign a pre-contract with overseas club from January. This gives clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona an added advantage.
Having shown great interest in the player, Guehi will no doubt have positive thoughts about coming to Merseyside. He will very likely be a regular starter beside Virgil Van Djik. It is now all down to the persuasion powers of sporting director Richard Hughes.
