Liverpool have continued their unbeaten run, unlike last season when the Reds ran out of gas after three English Premier League games.
Despite starting the season on the back foot as Crystal Palace beat the Merseysiders to the FA Community Shield, Slot’s side has been unstoppable.
Palace skipper Marc Guéhi led Palace to the Community Shield victory with the London-based outfit winning on penalties as the match ended 2-2.
Interestingly, three weeks later, Guéhi was just an inch away from signing for Liverpool. Unfortunately, the Eagles pulled the rug from under the feet in the final hours of the summer transfer window.
A move to Anfield was going to be the norm in the upcoming transfer windows, but the Englishman has lately revealed that his heart lies outside the Isles now.
Marc is now hoping for a move to Real Madrid alongside Reds’ own Ibrahima Konaté as Los Blancos are trying to poach both the defenders for free.
Nonetheless, Slot has seemingly continued with his unbeaten run, starting with their first Premier League match against Bournemouth.
With the game ending 4-2, the Merseysiders haven’t dipped in form in any of the following matches. Liverpool even won their first UEFA Champions League clash against Atlético de Madrid and are now on a six-game unbeaten run.

Bernardo Silva claims Liverpool as their toughest rival

With such an ongoing form and praises from all over the football community, it won’t be surprising for strong teams to hail Slot’s men as their biggest challenge.
While in talks with Sky Sports, Manchester City captain Bernardo Silva told the outlet that the Reds have by far proved to be their biggest rivals on the Isles.
“All rivalries are different. I would say that Manchester United has been going through quite a difficult phase for their club over the last years – it’s a rivalry because we’re in the same city.”
“Our biggest rival by far is Liverpool, because those are the guys that always competed with us for titles, and they also managed to win titles.”
“Then you definitely see a team like Arsenal over the years getting better and better, and being able to start fighting for those titles, even though they haven’t yet reached that level of achieving it.”
“So, the rivalries are quite different, but until now, I would say that our rivals, our big rivals, were always Liverpool”, Silva told Sky Sports.
