Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to move on from Liverpool in the summer. The Reds need a new right-back to join the squad, and the club have been looking at several targets. However, it seems they are closing in on signing an unexpected replacement for the defender.
Alexander-Arnold scored a goal for the Reds last weekend, but it seems rumours of a U-turn were false flags, and a move to Real Madrid seems like a certainty.
The defender won’t be making a U-turn and will leave Liverpool to join Real Madrid on a free transfer at the end of the season, when his contract expires.
Liverpool have been studying several right-backs across the world, and it seems they are going to bring someone in from left field this summer.
Can you name the team Liverpool sold these players to?

Agents fly down to England for talks with suitors

It emerged recently that Liverpool are keeping tabs on Wesley Franca, and a Flamengo director confirmed that he is likely to be sold in the summer.
Manchester United are also claimed to be interested in the right-back, who recently broke into the Brazil team, and is seen as one of the best right-backs in South America.
It seems Liverpool are set to make progress in their pursuit of Franca. According to Brazilian journalist Bruno Lemos, his agents have flown down to England.
His representatives will meet Franca’s suitors, including Liverpool, and assess the possibility of taking him to the Premier League in the summer.
The 21-year-old seems certain to cross the Atlantic this summer, and it remains to be seen whether the Reds are prepared to take a gamble on him.
