Liverpool are marching towards winning a Premier League title, but Arne Slot is pushing to revamp his attack ahead of next season. The Reds manager wants to sign a new number 9, and it seems the club are keen to sign a world-class option over a striker who is much wanted in the Premier League ahead of the next window.
Darwin Nunez has failed to convince anyone that he will ever develop into a reliable goalscorer at Anfield, and he is expected to be sold in the summer.
Liverpool are also looking to bring in wide forwards despite Mo Salah agreeing on a new deal, but the priority is to ensure they have a new number 9 in the team next season.
The Merseyside giants have been linked with several strikers ahead of the summer, but it seems the club are prioritising world-class options over deals that could be done easily.
Can you name the team Liverpool signed these players from?

The Reds are prioritising other forwards over Liam Delap

Liam Delap has scored 12 goals in the Premier League for an Ipswich Town side who are almost certain to get relegated from the top flight this season.
Manchester United are interested in him, and Chelsea are pushing to sign him before the Club World Cup begins in mid-June. He will have a £30m release clause once Ipswich get relegated.
Liverpool have also been keeping tabs on him, but according to The Athletic, they are prioritising other targets over Delap at this stage.
The Reds want to sign a world-class class proven striker to replace Nunez rather than Delap, who is still young and has had one good season in the top flight.
Delap would be an easy deal to do given the release clause, but Liverpool are aiming higher, and it shows the ambition the club have for the next transfer window.
