Liverpool have some glaring holes in the squad they need to fix this summer.
The club have figured out the need for a new left back in the process of dealing with the future of Trent Alexander-Arnold. Andrew Robertson has had a decent season this year, but his struggles last year showed that he is on a steady decline. Konstantinos Tsimikas was brought in to take over the starting role, but has also failed to nail down a starting place.
Liverpool have set their sights on Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez this summer. But there could be a surprise alternative option.

Premier League star opens up on Liverpool links

Liverpool have been linked with Fulham’s Antonee Robinson over the last year, however the links have died down over time. The USMNT star spoke on the rumours, and his future in an interview with ESPN.
“I’ve been in the game long enough now, you know you’ve got to block out the outside noise,”
“I’ve been on the end of it when I’ve not been playing well.
“I saw the criticism when I was younger, people like doubting me and things. I know that there are two sides to the coin. You just have to take everything with a grain of salt.
“You have to believe in yourself, and when things are going bad, focus on yourself, and when things are going good, focus on keeping going. Transfer rumors and stuff like that, I try not to look at.
The Fulham defender then addressed the constant links with a move to Anfield.
“The Liverpool one, all my friends and family are from Liverpool, so it’s more them messaging me rather than me seeing newspaper stuff. And I say to them, ‘It’s just a story in the paper.’
“Eventually I want to perform at the highest level that I can. Whether that’s playing Champions League, playing European competitions with Fulham, however I get there, I want to make sure I get there.”
Antonee Robinson has three years left on his current contract at Craven Cottage.
Door could yet be open for Robinson move
The Fulham star has been one of the best left backs in the Premier League over the last few seasons. It is inevitable that he will leave the club as he himself admitted he has high aspirations. Robinson is the perfect age to be Andrew Robertson’s replacement, he would cost a fortune because of how important he is to Fulham, but Liverpool can still make a deal happen.
If Liverpool face a lot of competition for Milos Kerkez this summer, Antonee Robinson is the next best option.
