£40m Liverpool academy star set for shock Tottenham switch

A major transfer twist is unfolding as a £40m Liverpool academy star is reportedly set for a shock move to Tottenham. The homegrown talent, once seen as part of Liverpool’s long-term future, could now be heading to North London — a switch that’s sure to raise eyebrows among fans and rattle the summer transfer window.

Liverpool are set to light a fire under their efforts to start selling a few players in the coming days following the imminent arrival of Florian Wirtz on a British record transfer.

The Merseyside giants still want to sign a striker, a centre-back and potentially a wide forward, but they will need a few sales to get moving on those priorities in the coming days.

Liverpool are now prepared to cash in on an academy star, and Tottenham have emerged as one of the potential destinations for this player ahead of next season.

Liverpool academy star Jarell Quansah could end up at Tottenham

Tottenham are in the market for a centre-back, especially with Cristian Romero linked with a move to Atletico Madrid in the summer.

According to TBR Football, Tottenham have joined the race to sign Liverpool defender Quansah in the ongoing transfer window.

The north London club have been monitoring his development and are keen to invest in the 22-year-old centre-back, who impressed in limited opportunities last season.

Newcastle also have their eyes on Quansah, but a move to London is likely to appeal more to the defender, especially with both clubs in the Champions League.

Liverpool are open to offers for him, but do not want to sell the academy product for anything less than the £40m mark this summer.

Tottenham believe Liverpool are asking for too much money and will wait for the price to drop in the coming weeks.

The Reds are ready to replace Quansah with a move for March Guehi.
