Liverpool transfer slammed by critics for his performance

Taking on Switzerland in the World Cup Qualifiers, Isak had a horror show on the pitch. Failing to score, the captain’s lack of match readiness showed. Swedish media outlets came out in full force, mincing no words in criticism of their star.
Svenskafans rated Isak 1/5. “The form has been swaying recently. I don’t really know what’s happened, but he doesn’t really seem to believe it right now. He feels so resigned and awkward.”, read their assessment of the player.
Faring slightly better, Fotbollskanalen gave the Swede 2/5 for his efforts, “Missed a huge chance when the ball hit the post. Nice run when he got free and selflessly passed to Bergvall and should have gotten an assist.”
Lack of training catching up
Heading into the season, Isak held his former club Newcastle at ransom. Essentially deciding to not play for the Magpies until he got his transfer to Liverpool. The move paid off but it came at a certain cost. Opposing views came to the forefront. Some siding with the player, while others supporting Newcastle in the saga.
However, loud boos were heard from the Strawberry Arena, the ground were the Swedes turned hosts. Not going through a proper pre-season is taking its toll, with the striker looking far from the sharp presence he was last season.
With the blockbuster match up against Manchester United on the anvil, it just gives an adds a layer to the intrigue surrounding the fixture.
