Why Liverpool fans should not worry about transfers

Liverpool fans are beginning to grow concerned about the club’s summer transfers as Ibrahima Konate remains the only incoming.

The Frenchman joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig for a fee in the region of £36million and today will mark his first full week of pre-season.

He told Liverpoolfc.com on Thursday: “It’s not easy but before the pre-season I worked in Paris and on holidays, and I prepared the pre-season. Now I am ready for hard work.”

While the first game of the 2021/22 Premier League season is just 28 days away, the focus is still on the transfer window.

And Liverpool have some work to do to get their squad into ideal shape for the new season and supporters are increasingly concerned.

As far as fans are aware, the Reds aren’t close to making their second signing of the summer while Manchester United have signed Jadon Sancho and Chelsea have bid for Erling Haaland, according to Sky in Germany.

That said, there is no cause for concern as Liverpool are in safe hands. Between Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards, the Reds couldn’t be in better care.

While FSG’s model of transfer sustainability requires the pair to sell to buy, they’ve consistently recruited the right players and there’s nothing to suggest this summer will be any different.

It does seem as though Liverpool might miss out on Saul, Malen and they’ve already passed on Bissouma but Mohamed Salah wasn’t the club’s first-choice target in 2017 and now he’s arguably Liverpool’s best-ever Premier League attacker.

The message going into the weekend is one of calm.

Don’t get into a panic because outwardly the likes of Manchester United seem to be preparing for the new season better than Liverpool.

We’ve got what they don’t and that’s Jurgen Klopp.
