Who is 16-year-old Alvin Ayman?

Liverpool’s summer transfer window saw a few notable additions, with Giorgi Mamardashvili and Federico Chiesa making headlines.

However, it wasn’t just high-profile signings who joined the club. The Reds also secured the future of young talents like Rio Ngumoha and Alvin Ayman.

Ayman, a highly regarded young prospect, was signed from Wolverhampton for £1.5 million.

Although his transfer was finalised later than anticipated, he was officially announced as a Liverpool player at the end of last month. Despite the delay, Ayman has already made a mark at Liverpool.

During the recent international break, Ayman made his debut for Liverpool’s U18 team in a 6-1 friendly win against Robbie Fowler’s academy side. The 16-year-old was impressive in his central midfield role, although he’s also capable of playing as a centre-back.

Who is Alvin Ayman?

Born in 2008, Ayman progressed through Bradford’s youth system before joining Wolverhampton’s academy. He has been a regular in the U18 Premier League, showcasing his talent against top youth teams. Notably, he stood out in a match against Liverpool’s U18s last season, where he delivered an exceptional performance.

In that game, Ayman completed all five of his dribbles and maintained a 91% pass completion rate. He also made seven passes into the final third and recorded eight recoveries, demonstrating his all-around capabilities.

John Terry has praised Ayman’s potential, and early signs suggest that Liverpool might have a promising talent on their hands. His debut performance and previous statistics indicate that Ayman could develop into a significant player for the club in the future. As Liverpool continues to invest in young talent, Ayman’s progress will certainly be one to watch.
