Liverpool and Everton engaged in a typically nasty derby on Sunday and there were a few players that could have been sent off.
Sadio Mane was one of them and after putting his hands on two Everton players’ faces during a tense first half moment, he was lucky to escape VAR’s attention.
So was Richarlison in the second half when he kicked out at Jordan Henderson with his studs, causing the Liverpool skipper to fall to the ground.
The second-half substitute was pressing Richarlison and fouled him but when the Brazilian went down, his studs were already pressed against Henderson’s shin.
His lack of self-control saw him lash out at the Liverpool captain, sending him to the ground but VAR decided a yellow card was sufficient despite what was an obvious red.
Yes, Richarlison is very lucky to still be on the pitch after making this studs up challenge.#LIVEVE #PremierLeague pic.twitter.com/5B5jw94BXT
