Liverpool open to bidding for Joshua Kimmich
Liverpool are reportedly one of the teams bidding to sign Bayern Munich defensive midfielder Joshua Kimmich as the search for Fabinho's heir continues.
The summer transfer window saw the Reds miss out on signing both Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo to Chelsea.
Instead, Jurgen Klopp signed Wataru Endo from Stuttgart for £12 million and while the German has been heavily linked with Andre Trindade, he no longer seems likely to bring the Brazilian to Anfield.
Liverpool bidding to sign Joshua Kimmich
In July, Liverpool were said to be preparing a bid to sign Kimmich after Kicker journalist Georg Holzner claimed that Bayern no longer considers the midfielder to be "unsellable".
Now, Spanish outlet AS reports that while Barcelona are interested in signing the German no.6, Liverpool and Manchester United "would not frown upon making an offer this summer for Kimmich."
The midfielder is one of the very best in his position and would take Klopp's midfield to the next level.
Endo, despite his recent form, is not a long-term solution to Fabinho's summer departure to the Saudi Pro League.
Kimmich, however, would be. His passing, tackling and overall protection of the back line would ensure the Reds can play their front-footed brand of football with more security.
