How Jurgen Klopp's bombshell has provided insight into Liverpool's transfer plans

Jurgen Klopp's bombshell announcement has rocked Liverpool fans with the club's future now very uncertain. The German has brought stability and growth to Anfield but most importantly, hope.

From team selection to his development of new players to how he integrated and embraced the city of Liverpool, Klopp has been like a prophet sent from the football gods to restore the club to what it once was and more.

Liverpool are now once again a titan in European football and while Klopp is leaving, the 'Normal One' is departing the club in a much better position than he left it in.

And so whoever takes over from him has a fantastic base to start with.

But until a new manager is appointed, it's unlikely Liverpool will be making any transfer plans. So if you see any stories circulating claiming that the Reds are in talks with any players for the summer, it's almost certainly nothing more than gossip.

The revelation that Klopp's decision to leave has been in place since November is interesting. It's around the same time interest in Fluminense midfielder Andre ended. It also means that every transfer story reported since November regarding incomings is questionable.

Liverpool and, more to the point, FSG will not make any transfer decisions until they know who the next manager of the club will be. While the new manager will likely not have as much control as Klopp did over incomings but the Americans certainly will not micro-manage as they did during Brendan Rodgers tenure.
