"My father knows:" Brazilian says his dad has "information" on his transfer future

Gabriel Moscardo is a highly-rated 18-year-old that currently plays for Corinthians.

That may change soon, however, with Premier League clubs keen on signing him after a very impressive season in Brazil.

The 18-year-old is wanted by Liverpool and Barcelona but it's Chelsea that have made the most concrete moves to attract him to England.

The Blues made a "formal, official bid" €21 million (£18.4m) fixed in August but were unsuccessful although that hasn't affected their interest.

Barca cannot afford the £22 million required to convince Corinthians to part ways with the prodigious teenager.

Via Fabrizio Romano, quotes from the Brazilian have been shared, revealing the player is aware of interest from Chelsea but his father knows more about the details of their interest.

Gabriel Moscardo speaks about Chelsea interest amid Premier League rush to sign him

The Brazilian midfielder said: “I can confirm that there was interest from Chelsea few months ago, strong interest… but I want to help Corinthians get out of this situation”.

“To tell you the truth, I have very little information, my father knows a few things”.

When Moscardo says he wants "to help Corinthians get out of this situation", he is referring to their position in the the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.

His side is languishing in 14th place just four points above the relegation zone which in Brazil sees four sides relegated and promoted at the end of each season.

The number "four" seems to be a recurring digit here as there are just four games remaining for the Sao Paulo-based club.
