Spanish giants intensify interest in £10 million Liverpool star

Real Madrid have intensified their interest in Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold following Dani Carvajal's ACL injury

Spanish giants Real Madrid have been dealt a hard blow in their recent clash against Villareal. Although Los Blancos won the game 2-0, their right back Dani Carvajal suffered an ACL injury in the process.

The Spaniard tore his anterior cruciate ligament after clashing with The Yellow Submarines’ Yeremy Pino. Now, Carvajal is expected to be out for up to a year and Madrid’s priority this transfer window will be the right flank.

Having shown previous interest in Trent Alexander-Arnold, The Whites are expected to intensify their interest in the Liverpool defender. According to Fichajes, Real Madrid is ready to make an offer for the Englishman in the upcoming January transfer window.

Trent’s contract will expire in July 2025 leaving him open to sign any pre-contracts in January. Madrid were hoping to sign Arnold for a free but Caravajal’s injury has ignited changes in the plan.

There have been no updates regarding the Englishman’s wishes and Liverpool must decide on their next moves. If the player wishes to leave, The Reds must negotiate rightfully according to the player’s potential.

However, the expiring contract doesn’t leave much room for the English club to negotiate. TAA might also decide to stay but the decision can only be confirmed when pen is put to paper.

Fichajes has also claimed a price tag that Real Madrid is willing to pay for the youngster. Arnold will have around half a year left in his contract in January.

At the moment, his valuation is highly based on the contract situation. The Whites are willing to pay £10 million for the Englishman’s services.

However, Madrid has yet to convince all the involved parties in the transfer. Liverpool might be happy with the offer as they’ll probably have to take what’s coming if the player is set on leaving.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is arguably one of the best right-backs in the world right now. The Englishman is also quite young as Arnold is yet to hit his prime.

The 25-year-old might also serve as a future replacement and upgrade over Dani Carvajal. The Spaniard is 32 years old and an ACL injury at this age is quite a mess to deal with.

Carvajal has been with Real Madrid since 2013 and has enjoyed immense success at the club. But when a player like TAA is up for cheap added to his age, it might end up being one of the biggest bargains in the history of football.
