Shock as £60m superstar striker snubs Liverpool for Saudi switch in stunning U-Turn

Liverpool are in the market for a striker, and a large portion of their transfer budget will be directed towards signing a top number 9. However, the decision-makers inside Anfield are scrambling after a Saudi side have hijacked their interest in a top forward.

The Reds are in the middle of an ambitious move to try and sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen, but getting a top striker remains a massive priority.

Alexander Isak is Liverpool’s top target, but it appears unlikely that Newcastle United will change their stance of being determined to keep him at St. James’ Park.

Liverpool have been considering several other alternatives, and it appears one of their top targets is seriously considering a move to Saudi Arabia over Anfield this summer.

A top striker target is in contact with Al-Hilal

Victor Osimhen is one of the most wanted strikers in world football and is almost certain to leave Napoli once he returns from his loan at Galatasaray.

The Serie A giants are prepared to sell him for a fee in the region of £60m, and Liverpool have held talks with the striker’s representatives to discuss a potential switch.

The Liverpool chiefs believe he is one of the very few proven goalscorers who is worth investing in this summer, but it has been claimed that a move to Saudi Arabia is in the works.

According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Al-Hilal have offered massive wages to Osimhen to move to Saudi Arabia in the upcoming transfer window.

The 26-year-old striker’s agents are in talks with Al-Hilal as the Saudi side push to convince the striker to leave European football this summer.

The negotiations are going in the right direction, and there is a real chance Osimhen will end up at Al-Hilal.
