Liverpool are already plotting for the new season as sporting director Richard Hughes looks to build on Arne Slot delivering the Premier League title this term. However, the Reds are set to face familiar foes in Real Madrid, who are set to snare a top star away from Anfield.
Real Madrid have been the thorn in Liverpool’s flesh over the last few years, both on and off the pitch, and are set to be their nemesis again this summer.
They tapped up Trent Alexander-Arnold through an orchestrated media campaign in Spain, and are almost certain to sign him on a free transfer in the upcoming weeks.
Liverpool are also struggling hard to convince Alexis Mac Allister to stay, who has emerged as a top midfield target for Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool agree shock early exit for the star man

Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to leave his boyhood club for the glitz and glamour of Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
However, it emerged last week that Real Madrid want to sign the defender early as they want him in the squad for next month’s expanded Club World Cup.
The two cubs would have to agree on a fee for Alexander-Arnold to leave early, as he is still contracted to Liverpool until 30th June.
According to the Sun, Real Madrid are prepared to pay a one-time fee of £850,000 to get the defender out of his Liverpool contract early.
It would be a good deal for Liverpool, who would get a considerable fee for a player who was expected to leave on a free transfer at the end of June.
Liverpool would be expected to accept the offer as they would not want to stop Alexander-Arnold from playing in the Club World Cup for his new club.
