Liverpool declined multiple offers in the January transfer window.
The reds’ plan was to keep their best players until the end of the season. Liverpool will reportedly be looking to make big changes to the squad in the upcoming window. Saudi Pro League clubs failed in bids for Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah. The reds could have cashed in on either player last month. Nunez was out of favour with Arne Slot, and Al-Nassr were willing to pay around £65million for the Uruguayan. Mohamed Salah is out of contract this summer, and Liverpool want him to see out the rest of his current deal.
Real Madrid also had an initial bid for Trent Alexander-Arnold knocked back. According to reports, the defender is willing to wait till the end of the season to make a decision.

Real Madrid could hand Liverpool a Premier League star

Madrid and Liverpool could be involved in transfer business again. The Daily Mail has reported that the Champions League holders have targeted Andoni Iraola as a replacement for Carlo Ancelotti. The Bournemouth boss has done a fantastic job with the Cherries this season. The club sit in 5th place and could make the Champions League this season.
Iraola leaving Bournemouth could cause a domino effect. A lot of their first team stars are being targeted ahead of the transfer window. Liverpool are heavily interested in signing defender Dean Huijsen. It has been reported this week that the youngster has a £50million release clause that can be activated this summer. The reds are in the market for a new defender, with the possibility of Virgil Van Dijk leaving the club at the end of the season.
Huijsen has attracted the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.
Another Cherries star could arrive at Anfield
Aside Dean Huijsen, another Bournemouth star could follow. Antoine Semenyo has been on Liverpool’s radar since the start of the season. The forward has seven goals and four assists this campaign, and is one of the better players outside the big clubs. Anfield Index’s podcast last month revealed that the 25-year old has similar underlying numbers to Sadio Mane at Southampton.
With Liverpool set to revamp their attack before the start of next season, the Bournemouth man would be a shrewd signing to add. The Cherries would be looking for around £50million for the forward.
