Rangers are demanding £25 million for striker Youssef Chermiti, with Turkish giants Galatasaray the latest club to express serious interest in the 22-year-old.
According to Turkish outlet Sozcu, Galatasaray are now ready to come to the table, joining a growing list of European clubs chasing the Portuguese forward.
Fenerbahce and Porto have also been linked with Chermiti in recent months, underlining the level of attention he has attracted across the continent.
Rangers knocked back a £13 million bid from Fenerbahce in January, and the Ibrox club appear equally unwilling to accept anything less than their current asking price.
The club paid £8 million for Chermiti, meaning a £25 million sale would represent a significant profit on their initial investment.
His debut season at Ibrox was mixed, with the striker taking time to find his feet before hitting form in the second half of the campaign.
Chermiti delivered some standout moments when it mattered most, including a hattrick against Hearts in February and an impressive brace against Celtic.
Those performances helped justify Rangers holding firm when Fenerbahce came calling during the January transfer window.
Manager Danny Rohl made his position clear at the time, stating his intention to strengthen the squad rather than allow key players to leave.
“First we take the positive that other clubs are interested in our players,” Rohl said in January. “But on the other side we will keep our best players.”
Rohl added: “We have big goals this season and we’re in two competitions and we need our best players. We spoke about wanting to strengthen our squad and not make it weaker. We are very clear about what we want to do.”
Rangers have since added Lawrence Shankland to their attacking options, which could influence decisions around the futures of Chermiti, Bojan Miovski, and Ryan Naderi.
Whether that added depth opens the door for a departure remains to be seen, but Galatasaray will need to dig deep if they want to prise Chermiti away from Ibrox this summer.
