Report: Mbappe decides where he will move this summer after PSG contract update

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo says he is hopeful of renewing both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe's contracts.

He told Sky Sports in Italy: "We will be happy to have talks about contracts too. I think we'll have some news that will make us all happy soon, but we'll see.

"We'll get to a more concrete situation with them soon, but now we have to focus on the competition as we are entering the final stage."

Meanwhile, AS cites Cuatro and Cadena SER as claiming that Mbappe will reject all offers made to him by PSG as he has apparently already decided on moving to Real Madrid in the summer.

The Frenchman has two years remaining on his contract in Paris which means the Ligue 1 side will still demand a huge fee for the 22-year-old.

Transfermarkt value Mbappe at a whopping £168million and if Leonardo demands a fee close to that mark, there surely isn't a club in the world that can afford that off the back of a pandemic with clubs across Europe posting losses of revenue in the hundreds of millions.

In the final paragraph, the report suggests that Real Madrid want Erling Haaland as well and if that were true and Madrid could afford both, the likes of Liverpool should kiss the idea of winning the Champions League in the next few years goodbye.

Fortunately, it's highly unlikely that Los Blancos would sign both while I have my reservations over whether or not Mbappe will leave the PSG in the summer.

He has waited this long to sign a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain and unless they have agreed to offer him unprecedented sums of money or agreed to a realistic release clause, I imagine Mbappe will stay at the French club for one more season before leaving in the final year of his contract.

This is the best chance Liverpool have of signing him and it also hinges on the hopes that he doesn't demand £400,000/week wages as that would surely eliminate the Reds.
