Arsenal are selling Hector Bellerin to raise funds to sign Ruben Neves from Wolves this summer and Liverpool should sign him.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's quad injury should come as a stark warning to Jurgen Klopp given his importance to Liverpool and their attacking fluidity. It's his second injury of the season even if it comes at the very end of it but fortunately, he won't miss any club games.

A long-term injury to Trent would represent a serious threat to Liverpool's hopes and even with a natural right-back to cover him, there would be a serious shortage of creativity down the right-hand side.

Thiago came into his own in a right-handed no.8 role in the final 10 games of the season as Fabinho returned to the no.6 role, releasing the Spaniard from an overly defensive role but Trent is still the club's best creative talent.

While Bellerin is by no means a creative genius, he's a natural right-back available at a low price and has Premier League experience. That's a good deal and still only 26, he has a lot of games left in the tank.

The Daily Mail reports that Arsenal are selling him and Granit Xhaka to raise funds to sign Ruben Neves from Wolves and as Liverpool look for opportunities in the transfer window, this could be a cheeky one to reinforce a weak point in the squad.

I think the Gunners would be happy to sell to Liverpool as they're not really challenging the Reds for the same thing in the Premier League and if Trent is fit, he wouldn't start too many games in the first place.

Plus, it would technically see Liverpool enabling them to sign a hugely talented player and they might see that as a small win.

Even if Bellerin isn't someone that is of interest to Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp cannot go into the 2021/22 Premier League season with 35-year-old James Milner as the only cover for Trent.
