Liverpool sent to scout 'jewel' - player has the 'greatest potential'

Liverpool have already secured their present and future with some of their transfer business this summer.

The likes of Darwin Nunez (23) and Fabio Carvalho (19) are set to be the face of this team for years to come.

Outside of that, the Reds boast a lot of experience and in a few years' time, this side will need re-invigorating as a new era dawns.

Thinking similarly, the higher-ups at Liverpool sent a scout to Germany to see a rising star who is described as a 'jewel' of a player.

What is being said of Vuskovic?

Scouts from a lot of top clubs have been scouring Mario Vuskovic, with Liverpool sending their own to Hamburg to watch the defender in the second division.

Vuskovic is considered a ‘jewel’ by Hamburg but the club is looking to keep hold of the player - at least for now according to BILD.

Scouts were reportedly present from Wolfsburg, Frankfurt, Freiburg and Stuttgart, while Liverpool, Burnley and an unnamed Italian club also ‘sent observers’.

Rumours of a move have been quashed with no club showing any concrete interest of yet and the club will not accept the €10M rumoured fee that is flying around.

Why all the hype?

The 20-year-old has attracted a lot of attention for his ability at a young age but has had little experience so far in major competitions.

Standing at 1.89m, his passing range has particularly caught the eye but the Croatian has just signed on a permanent deal following a successful loan spell.

It will be incredibly hard to keep hold of such a player with Premier League clubs possessing the wealth to sign the future star.
