Perfect signing for Liverpool and Klopp apart from the price

Porto will understand that they are in a very strong position regarding Diaz but they must surely realize that Liverpool and other clubs aren't going to spend €80m (£66.8m) on the Colombian.

He's an entertaining player and I think Klopp could turn him into an extremely effective attacker but it's highly unlikely that Liverpool will pay the amount they are reportedly asking for.

Liverpool fans will have had a close look at Diaz in the Champions League this season but the Reds have been fantastic in Europe this season and were able to keep him and his Porto teammates under lock and key.

While it would be great to see the 24-year-old attacker move to Anfield this month, if the Reds were really looking to bring someone in this month, surely they would have had the groundwork for a deal established already?

FSG aren't the sort of owners to sanction panic buys in the market and even last season when the club was decimated by centre-back injuries, they only sanctioned a move for Championship defender Ben Davies and a loan for soon-to-be relegated defender Ozan Kabak.

Hopefully, Liverpool can make some additions to their squad this winter because without any new signings, it will be difficult for Jurgen Klopp to cope with injuries, suspension, COVID-19 cases and AFCON.
