Man Utd's bigger financial proposal under consideration; attacking midfielder could snub Liverpool

Manchester United have made a bigger financial offer to Fatawu Issahaku which is now under consideration but he will join Sporting Lisbon on loan regardless.

We reported on the weekend that Manchester United had made an 11th-hour offer to Issahaku and we are now told that the offer is under consideration but there is no word on what the player will decide.

United are hijacking a move that was 99% done and was a few minor details away from being completed but with Liverpool's rivals flexing their financial strength, there is little that they can do but wait.

Our source tells us that the Reds are hopeful that the work they put into arranging a loan deal with Sporting Lisbon and putting up Issahaku's problematic agents won't be hijacked but only time will tell.

Liverpool are still standing firm on their stance that Issahaku won't move to Anfield until he finds new representation and United have told the player the same thing and went one step further by offering to help him find new agents.

The reason that Issahaku is considering United's offer is a higher monthly salary, as well as all living expenses, will be covered by the Old Trafford side. The Ghanaian is a very exciting player and was named Player of the Tournament at the 2021 U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

This week will bring news of Issahaku's decision and while Liverpool hope that he chooses them over United, we're told that the club won't complain about not having to work any further with the player's camp after the hassle they have caused.

Bayer Leverkusen actually walked away from a deal to sign him after learning that his agent was in talks with Liverpool and Manchester United behind their back. With FIFA warning clubs about his agents, it surprises me that Liverpool and United have persisted with him at all.
